A Beautiful Lady
I love this photo of my sweet mother in law Jean. She is a beautiful woman inside and out. This picture was taken 50 plus years ago by Dick who was her boyfriend at the time. They had taken a drive up to the family cabin at Lake Arrowhead. She is such an example to me in so many ways.

Back To School
Alex has started his sophomore year at West High School in SLC. He was accepted into the IB program and he will have a busy year. He is having a great time being on the football team and the sophomore team won their first game against Tooelle 47 - 6. He might be one of the smallest on the team but that did not stop him from getting five tackles.

Happy 50th Birthday Craig Sheranian
Just a couple of Goofballs celebrating Craig's 50th birthday. Liz organized a surprise party that ended up not being much of a surprise. The Ogles family know how to Party! Craig enjoyed the rave music and glow sticks? It was obvious that President Sheranian was excited to start downloading 50 books on to his new Kindle.

There is nothing like watching your child become a parent. The following is Christian's Facebook status update. It simply says it all.
Thank you all for the love and support. We are definitely picking up on all your good vibes here in this little hospital room. Nixon has both of us completely smitten, rendering his father a big blubbering baby himself. This entire experience has been absolutely incredible. Paige has taught me what courage and bravery are all about. Kudos to all you momma's out there:)
Introducing Nixon 7 lb 9 oz 20 inches
Paige & Christian had their bag packed and a birth plan ready which included a midwife, a natural calm birth, and their's and Nixon's favorite music. After about 10 hours of labor and the midwife out of the country, Paige reluctantly agreed with Christian that an epidural might be a good idea. As we all texted a sigh of relief, "Thank the Lord"! Yes the epidural was a good idea because after another 8 or 9 hours it was very clear that Nixon was just too big of a boy and a c-section would be needed! There goes the birth plan completely out the window Once the decision was made this picture with the new daddy and his son was taken 20 minutes later!

It's Time For A Birthday Party

Leaving Las Vegas
It was a long time coming but on July 20th we left our lovely abode and headed North on 1-15. We packed our 5 bedroom home into a 26 foot truck but needed a trailer too. After arriving we have tightly packed all of our belongings into a storage for the time being and are living in Salt Lake City with a more than hospitable friend. Hopefully we won't out stay our welcome before we find a place of our own!

More Fun @ Lake Arrowhead
We rented a couple of ski boats and an instructor for the non water skiers amongst us. Here is Alex getting some quick tips. And 1 2 3 he is up on the first try! I'm sure analyzing in true Alex fashion what his cousins Brian and Scott were doing before hand was helpful.
Here is Scott before his first lesson. After a couple of tries he was a natural and ready for more.

As you can tell by the wetsuits, Lake Arrowhead is very cold this year.. Even with the wetsuits the water was freezing.

Sheranian Family Reunion Lake Arrowhead 2011
Following a Sheranian tradition a decision was made to plan a family trip to Lake Arrowhead. Liz found a beautiful 5+ bedroom cabin to rent on the lake! After a 4.5 hour drive, let Summer Camp begin! Steve and I found out that if you are the last to arrive at the cabin you get the bunk beds. Note taken for the next family trip. KaRynn designed the family t shirts. We were missing a number of the family members so are numbers this trip were only a sizzlin seventeen.
Jean was so tired from her cancer treatment but enjoyed the sun while sitting at the dock and visiting with the family. Sarah and little baby Monson, 12 weeks, arrived from Houston to enjoy the festivities. Daniel was happy to visit flying Southwest from Chicago. We all enjoyed lunch at the malt shop. It was a very nostalgic trip for Steve and his brothers.
We all enjoyed time hanging in the hammack. Cute photo of Alex and Hannah hanging out on Sunday afternoon. Harrison enjoyed some artwork while Scott looked on. Hannah had a great time on the kayak with her dad. Happy Father's Day to all the Sheranian Dads!
Steve started out early Saturday morning with a smooth ride out to the island. An hour later Daniel took the same not so smooth ride as he capsized his boat.

105 Degrees & Hanging By The Pool
Hannah and Olivia had swim lessons today at Lifetime Athletic Club. Hannah can now go under the water without doing her original one handed nose holding stroke. A very hilarious site to see I must say. There are two fun slides at the pool. The kids have had fun each day spending some time at the pool. Hannah is being stubborn about going down the enclosed slide. The "dark" slide as she calls it. But it's not dark and it is not scary as her younger sister has already experienced time and time again. Hannah has her mind made up! She has another ten days to change her mind and join in the fun! Update coming soon I hope.
